Congratulations to Dr Richard Catterick on his 7th Degree Black Belt

Huge congratulations to Exeter Martial Arts head instructor Dr Richard Catterick on being formally presented his 7th degree black belt by the executive committee of the British Jiu Jitsu Association.

We and the whole of the Seishin Mizu Ryu Jiu Jitsu style are so very proud to have him as our chief instructor. He has devoted his life to the study and transmission of all the martial arts he teaches but his core is Jiu Jitsu, which he started training in back in the 1980s.

As one of the youngest people to reach this level from the national governing body for Jiu Jitsu he continues to inspire us all with his dedication, hard work and patience. Thank you for being our teacher and helping so many people on their own journeys.
