Alongside our combat and traditional disciplines, Exeter Martial Arts offers a dedicated Health & Fitness programme built around low-impact, high-benefit training: Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Strength & Conditioning and Pad Blast. Whether you're looking to build strength, improve mobility, reduce stress or simply get fitter in a friendly, supportive environment, our qualified instructors will help you train at your own pace. No experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to try a free, no-commitment taster session.

What's included in the Health & Fitness programme?

Our Health & Fitness programme includes Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Strength & Conditioning and Pad Blast — a mix of low-impact, mindful movement and higher-intensity training designed to improve fitness, flexibility and wellbeing for all ages and abilities.

Do I need any experience to start?

No experience is needed. All our Health & Fitness classes are taught progressively and are suitable for complete beginners, so you can join in and build at your own pace.

Is Health & Fitness training suitable for all fitness levels?

Yes. Whether you're a complete beginner or already active, our instructors adapt each session to suit your ability, making our Health & Fitness classes ideal for improving strength, mobility and general wellbeing at any level.

What should I wear or bring to my first class?

Wear comfortable sports clothing and bring a water bottle. No specialist kit is needed to get started — we'll let you know if anything specific is useful as you progress.
