The aim of Brazilian jiu jitsu is to make your opponent submit or tap by the use of superior leverage and position it is a highly skillful game which can be trained with and without the gi (jacket). It is a great sport on its own but also an essential skill set for those actively training ijn MMA as you need to have some floor skills to hold you own.
Class starts with a thorough warm up which ends in a series of drills. Next several positional/submission techniques are usually taught followed by free rolling to hone the techniques and build your game.
First class is FREE so you can come and try a lesson before joining the gym.
